About
A new chapter in my ‘Safari Life’ that started at age five and never let go of me since… From bird shoots outside Dar es salaam, to pursuing dangerous game throughout Africa – it is a life I was born to live and one I am proud and honored to share.
Combining Safaris & Conservation Since 1979
This Safari has and continues to be a privilege. It is a foundation to all aspects of my being and has led me to this new chapter called SAFARI SHALLOM – A platform to share my past, present and future in this safari called, LIFE!
Everything about Safari Shallom revolves around people, places, wildlife and conservation through value-based sustainable use. With almost 40 years of proactive safari life on the clock, I believe there is something to share and a thing or two of interest for everyone who feels a connection with the natural world.
Along with sharing experiences through writing, Safari Shallom will serve as Consultant & Guide Service for a range of activities such as photographic, hunting, fishing, mountaineering, river rafting, leisure and adventure safaris in Africa.
My Passion
I vaguely remember the war against Iddi Amin in Uganda, but clearly remember drives just outside Dar in a Ford Anglia for bird shoots… Soon after, to suburban farms in a Hillman Minx to hunt small game… followed by quick trips in a Ford Maverick to shoot crop raiding bush pigs… Then in our self-assembled ex-military Land Rover “101” to nearby hunting grounds for big and dangerous game.
Wilderness, Rivers,
Lakes & Mountains.
From sleep-as-you-go safaris without any equipment but salt, ammo, guns and matches, to running luxury camps & lodges, with satellite Wi-Fi, cocktail bar & gourmet dining delights…I’ve done it and still do!
